Istria to Split daily in just one hour!
Planning a trip from Pula (Istria) or Rijeka (Kvarner) to Split means to lose at least half a day by bus.
Beside the time, the travel expenses are too high. Just to remind you, that for one way bus ticket you have to pay almost 450 Kuna (€ 60).
Fortunately this year, finally Dalmatia is connected to Istria in a civilized manner, with daily direct flights from the Split seaport at Resnik near Split Airport to Pula taking just 62 minutes. It’s a great progress comparing with endless 11 hours by bus.

These daily flights are not only convenient for business matters but good occasion to visit Istria region all in one day. For example, take a flight from Jelsa (Hvar island) that leaves at 08:10, arriving less than two hours later in Pula, at 10:02, flying back at 17:05 and landing at 18:58.
Split by bus

Split by train

By ferry boat

Traveling to Split by car is always a good idea. Split is connected with by a very picturesque highway from Zagreb. This is A1 highway (autocesta) from Zagreb to Split.
