American income is an MLM (multi level marketing) scam that uses insurance sales as a cover, probably for legality reasons and the optics of legitimacy. You will be lied to constantly here from the time you walk into the door to the day you eventually quit.
American Income Life is rated "A" excellent by AM Best, the most recognized credit rating agency in the life insurance industry. Their policies include a free terminal illness rider which allows the insured to access up to 50% of their policy's death benefit if they are diagnosed with a qualifying health condition.
If you need to access the cash value of your policy, you can borrow against it or use it to pay your premiums. Keep in mind, however, that borrowing against the cash value of your policy will reduce the death benefit that your beneficiaries will receive.
What type of insurance does American Income Life sell?
AIL offers life, accident, supplemental health, hospital indemnity, cancer, and critical illness protection. Do I have to take time off work and drive to your office to meet with an Agent? Absolutely not. Independent agents can meet with you after work and come to your home or wherever is most convenient for you.
No matter what anybody who works for AIL says, it IS an MLM. It perfectly meets every single definition and calling it something else is LYING (but i'll get to that in my "Advice to Management" Section).

Cash value? The pros and cons of term and whole life insurance are clear: Term life insurance is simpler and more affordable but has an expiration date and doesn't include a cash value feature. Whole life insurance is more expensive and complex, but it provides lifelong coverage and builds cash value over time.
You are able to borrow from a whole life insurance if the cash value has accumulated with the funds to cover the amount you want to borrow.
